Courtney Marshall's PortfolioÂ
Hello and welcome to my portfolio! I am an educator, technology advocate, and firm believer in the transformative power of education when combined with the right tools and resources. I've been passionate about leveraging technology to advance educational equity with a career spanning more than 15 years in the K-12 educational system.
I hold a Master's in Special Education from the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Economics from George Mason University. I'm pursuing a Doctorate at the University of Florida with a focus on AI in education. My research explores how artificial intelligence can serve as a tool for leveling the educational playing field, bridging the digital divide, and creating a more equitable and effective learning environment.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have contributed to the field in practical ways. I've held leadership roles in initiatives such as the inaugural Telecommunications Educator Boot Camp in Ohio, which aims to equip teachers with the skills needed to harness broadband and 5G technologies in the classroom. I've also taught aspiring educators and developed several technology curricula for the Virginia Department of Education.
The untapped potential within each student constantly inspires me and I believe that every child, like Einstein, harbors untapped brilliance waiting to be ignited. Through this portfolio, you will find a collection of my work, research, and initiatives aimed at making this belief a reality. Thank you for taking the time to explore my contributions to this exciting and evolving field. I look forward to connecting with fellow innovators who share my vision for the future of education.
